A surprising fact about myself: I have a great ear for music. Just by listening to a song, I can figure out the artist/genre/year the song was written as well as details about the instruments played (number of strings on guitars, which type of saxophone, etc.). 

Favorite place in Hamburg and why: HafenCity, it has this neat modern touch while also maintaining the Hanseatic/harbor vibe. I generally like harbors and port cities because I spent most of my childhood in Odessa, Ukraine, which hosts one of the biggest ports in the Black Sea. 

Favorite foreign language and why: Tough to choose one but has to be Finnish, I love how it sounds, including its phonetics and pronunciation.
